Share an Explore or board

Give colleagues access to an Explore or board, or publish its saved content through a public link.

A board presents selected results from an Explore and uses its sharing controls.

Before you start

Open the Explore in Edit and check that its results are current. Verify an answer covers the checks to make before others rely on it. You need Full access or another effective sharing grant; Edit alone does not include sharing.

Share with a colleague or workspace

  1. Select Share in the Explore header, then open the Workspace tab.
  2. Search Name or email... and select a colleague who already belongs to the workspace. To share with everyone, select Everyone at YOUR_WORKSPACE_NAME (or Everyone in workspace).
  3. Choose their access level and select Share inside the panel.
  4. Check Who has access for the new grant, then select Copy link and send the workspace link.
AccessWhat it allows
ViewRead the Explore.
EditRead and edit it, without sharing or deleting it.
Full accessEdit, share and delete it.

The workspace link opens the same saved Explore; copying it does not grant access or make a separate copy. If the person is missing from the picker, invite them to the workspace first.

Check recipient access

Have the recipient open the link while signed in to their own account. Check that they can see the intended title, saved results and board layout, if present. A person who needs their own analysis can explore from a board; editing the shared Explore changes the source work.

If they need to run or refresh a query, have them try that separately. Explore access does not grant datasource permission or credentials. Querying requires datasource permission and exactly one authorized credential for that datasource, even for Admins. See credential selection.

Change or revoke workspace access

Return to Share > Workspace. Use a person's access dropdown to choose another level or Remove access. For the workspace row, select Remove workspace access.

Check with the recipient after changing a grant. Everyone and other effective grants can still give them access; an individual entry cannot reduce rights already given to Everyone. The creator's entry is fixed in this panel. See Explore ownership and sharing for the full access rules.

Anyone with the link can view the saved Explore without a Querio account. Before publishing, review the entire saved Explore: cell code, stored outputs and the editing conversation. Cells left out of the board layout are still included in the public data. Layout placement does not hide them.

  1. Open Share > Public and select Make public.
  2. Confirm Public on the web appears. Select Copy link or View site.
  3. Open the URL while signed out and check the title, board layout and displayed results before distributing it.

The public page shows saved content. It has no live query runtime or Ask flow. Saved edits may appear at the same URL on a later load, so check the public result again after editing. See saved work and live execution.

To revoke the link, select Make private under Share > Public. Check that the old URL no longer opens while signed out. Workspace grants remain in place, and revocation cannot recall content someone has already copied. If you publish again, copy the new URL.

Embed a public board

Use the Embedded tab to put a saved public board on a website. Review what public sharing exposes first; the iframe uses that same public access.

  1. Open Share > Embedded. If there is no public link, select Make public.
  2. Select Copy code and paste the generated iframe into your website's HTML or an embed block that accepts iframes.
  3. Open the containing page while signed out. Compare its layout and results with the direct public URL.

The generated iframe uses the public /share/... URL, width="100%" and height="600". Anyone who can load the containing page can see the saved content, and the direct public URL still works. The iframe gives no per-recipient workspace access, live queries or query credentials.

Make private in either tab revokes the link used by both the direct page and iframe. Check both after revoking it. If you publish again, replace the iframe with the newly copied code.

For a separate workspace-token integration, see the Embedded API.

To choose which results appear on a board, build a board. Bookmark a cell to return to a useful result.

For other ways to share results, see Ask from Slack and Schedule and deliver.
