Manage datasources

Workspace admins can manage datasources from Settings > Datasources. The list shows each datasource and who can query it. Datasources for the Embedded API are in the same list, tagged Embedded.

Add a datasource

1. Open Settings
2. Go to Datasources
3. Click Add datasource
4. Choose Internal for the agent in Querio, or Embedded for the Embedded API
5. Choose the datasource type
6. Add the connection details
7. Test and save the connection

Internal datasources are described on the Context page. Embedded datasources are described under Embedded > Context.

If you do not have the credentials for the database, you can use the Invite a colleague option at the bottom of the connection screen to email someone who does. They will receive a link to securely enter the credentials for you.

Edit a datasource

Click a datasource to open it. Update the details under Connection and click Save, then use Test connection at the top of the page to check it.

If you rotate credentials in your warehouse, update Querio with the new credentials before removing the old ones.

Manage access

By default, everyone in your workspace can use a connected datasource.

To restrict access, open the datasource and add specific people under Access. Once the first person is added, the datasource becomes restricted, and only the people explicitly added will be able to use it.

Remove a datasource

To remove a datasource, open it and click Delete, or choose Delete from its menu in the list. Only remove a datasource when you are sure the team no longer needs it. Removing access can affect explores, context, and embedded experiences that depend on that datasource.
